Will's Story

In 2007 when Will was a senior in high-school, his 95 Honda Accord was involved in a head-on collision with a Suburban. Will suffered a subdural hematoma, a stroke in his occipital lobe, a ruptured spleen, and a collapsed lung. He was taken to the hospital and placed in a medically induced coma. After two and a half weeks, Will woke up and went to the Shepherd Center for in-patient therapy. In January, he returned to school to finish his senior year and attend outpatient therapy after-school. He was able to graduate, and he went on to get his Bachelor of Arts in Playwriting from Oglethorpe University, his Master of Fine Arts in Playwriting from Boston University, and his Master of Arts in Teaching from University of Louisville. Currently, he teaches English full-time at Kennesaw State University. He is a working professor, writer, speaker, and tutor.
